Millville, NJ (06/11/2019) – Two east coast Single A Minor League Baseball teams have hit a home run with the addition of their newest concessions. Southern New Jersey-based Chank’s Pizza Cones has signed a one-year contract with both the Staten Island Pizza Rats and the State College Spikes to offer their portable pizza cones at home games during the season.

 

 

The handcrafted pizza is freshly-made in a portable, dough-shaped cone that fans can catch at Saturday Pizza Rats’ games at Richmond County Bank Ballpark and at all Spikes home ballgames at Medlar Field in Lubrano Park, Pennsylvania University.

 

“Portable food has been a staple for baseball fans at stadiums since the game’s inception,” said Chank’s Founder, Eric Ciancaglini. “And we’re thrilled to add our pizza cones to the ranks of great handheld ballgame foods like hot dogs, pretzels, and popcorn.”

 

The Staten Island Pizza Rats will make portable pizza even more convenient by offering it throughout the stands, so baseball lovers can enjoy the handheld plain cheese or pepperoni pizza cone without having to miss a single pitch or crack of the bat.
